A celebration of some of our favorite New York Craft Brewers! I am offering a series of soaps made with locally crafted beer. This one is made with Make Me Wanna Stout craft beer, made by Big Ditch Brewing Company in Buffalo, NY.
Beer has a long history of use inside and outside of our bodies. Made with hops, barley, malt, oats – the components in beer make a wonderful soap. Yes, beer spas are a thing – and for good reason! This soap is scented with essential oils and colored by the beer alone.
From Buffalo NY’s Big Ditch Brewing, “We brewed this beer specifically for football Sundays in Western New York! This coffee and cream stout is brewed with Revolution coffee beans from Public Espresso. Besides the rich coffee flavor, this beer features a light roast from the roasted barley used, a light sweet finish from the milk sugar used, and a creamy body from the oatmeal used. Let’s Go Buffalo!”
Complimenting the coffee notes, I chose a blend of cedarwood, sweet orange and hints of vanilla in Peru Balsam essential oils for this soap. Loaded with goat & cow milk greek yogurt, this bar is super creamy. The sugars in the beer makes for a wonderfully bubbly bar, and finely ground coffee & hops are added to give a gentle scrub.
Wholesale and white label options available on our website bigwoodssoap.com! Are you a brewer? I can make custom soap with your personal brew.
