A celebration of some of my favorite New York Craft Brewers! I am offering a series of soaps made with locally crafted beer. This soap is made with Hamburg Brewing Company Blood Orange Sourita, a sour ale with blood orange and lime.

Beer has a long history of use inside and outside of our bodies. Made with hops, barley, malt, oats – the components in beer make a wonderful soap. Yes, beer spas are a thing – and for good reason!

This soap is scented with essential oils and colored by the beer alone. Complimenting the sour notes, I chose a blend of blood orange, lime, and, sweet orange essential oils for this soap. Loaded with goat & cow milk greek yogurt, this bar is super creamy. The sugars in the beer makes for a wonderfully bubbly bar, and fine grain sea salt provides both scrub and softness.

Ingredients: hamburg brewing co. blood orange sourita craft beer, coconut oil, sea salt, sunflower oil, lye, cow & goat milk greek yogurt, essential oils ( blood orange, lime, sweet orange, hops ), castor oil, raw honey, sugar, kaolin clay.

I make soap in small batches and hand cut each bar. Each bar is unique and there may be slight variations in weight. Hand crafted soap lasts longer when allowed to dry in between uses.
